Art Deco jewelry is the height of bold simplicity.  Its origin is found in France where it was called Arts Decoratifs before WWI but it became a movement both in Europe and the United States during the 1920-30's.  Clean architectural lines and bolder metalwork make the jewelry from this era seem timeless and modern jewelers/ designers often dip into this era for inspiration.
